GENERAL EDUCATION
A minimum of 42 credits must be earned in General Education coursework. These
courses are the foundation of all degrees at UW Oshkosh. You will complete
theses courses over the span of your academic career. The areas of
General Education are English Composition/Theme Based Inquiry Seminar, Advanced
Composition, Mathematics/Problem Based Inquiry Seminar, Physical Education,
Non –Western Culture, Communication, Humanities, Natural/Laboratory
Science, Social Science and Ethnic Studies.

BUSINESS PRE-CORE
Every business student is required to complete a set of courses, which are referred to as the “Business Pre-Core”. These courses provide a basis for further study in the business curriculum. These courses give students the fundamental skills needed in their business education. Pre-business students will complete the Business Pre-Core during their freshman and sophomore years. Many Business Pre-Core courses have prerequisites that need to be completed prior to enrollment. Refer to your STAR, current Bulletin and/or BBA Planning Sheet for requirements, prerequisites and admission requirements. Students are also required to complete the Global Knowledge Requirement as well as the Professional Experience Requirement for graduation.

Every business student is required to complete a set of courses, which are referred to as the "Business Core". The business core requirements introduce the environment and important functions of business organizations. These include management, communications, business law, marketing, finance, production, and information systems. Unless otherwise indicated (#) in their prerequisites students need to have completed College of Business requirements for enrollment in these courses. Refer to the STAR, updated BBA Planning Sheets or most current Bulletin for most recent requirements and prerequisites. Students are also required to complete the Global Knowledge Requirement as well as the Professional Experience Requirement for graduation.
