The Wisconsin Financial Services Institute (WFSI) is now offering CFP Board-approved courses for a Certificate in Financial Planning. The WFSI is led by Co-Directors Kristine Beck, Ph.D. and Barry Mulholland, MBA, CFP® both members of the College's Finance and Business Law Team. Kristine Beck specializes in the area of investments and Barry Mulholland specializes in the area of applied financial planning.

Only business college in the state that has a student managed investment fund for undergraduates.

The UW Oshkosh College of Business held its first annual Environmental Symposium, April 2005! The principal goal of this Symposium was to heighten awareness of how businesses can benefit from including environmental considerations into their business plans.

The first multiple-site MBA program for part time students to be accredited and accredited continuously since 1970.

The first and most successful Family Business Forum in the state -- a partnership of professional service organizations and the university to serve family businesses.

The College of Business is a partner of The Center for Community Partnerships. This is a University unit that is a model for how comprehensive universities can implement the "Wisconsin Idea."

College faculty members provide the core leadership for four of the nine events of Leadership Oshkosh.

The MBA program has over 650 active students serving Northeast and Central Wisconsin. It is the third largest in the State.

One of the first AACSB accredited schools to offer MBA courses via the Internet.

One of the first colleges in the nation to require that undergraduate business students have 100 hours of professional work experience to graduate.

The first in the state to offer an Entrepreneurship Emphasis.

Implemented the first Masters of Science in Information Systems in the state designed specifically for working adults to transition into the IT field.
